Digital Equity in Education

On Friday, April 17, 2020, Illinois in mandating a statewide school closure through the remainder of the 2019-20 school year, in response to the public health crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Kids First Chicago set out to understand the “digital divide” that students face.

To best serve multiple audiences, HALT created print reports in English and Spanish, along with digital summaries in both languages for easy access to highlights on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
